When I was an adolescent in Colombia, I inherited from my French grandfather his tarot cards and books. I learned to understand each major arcane and interpret its meaning and philosophy. As a high school student and subsequently at university in Bogota I did tarot card readings for friends and acquaintances.. In 2022 and 2023 I drew all the major arcana and created my own personal tarot deck using color pens, flumasters, colored pencils and pastels.
In 2023 and 2024 I started using collage in portraying the arcana. A collector of cards wanted me to do the hanged man (in fact, she asked for a hanged woman). I created the main character in collage and then I suspended it on copper wires over a collage and acrylic background. Subsequently I “suspended” main characters on sewing threads. Using this technique I have produced The Sorceress, The World, The Nameless Arcane, The Hermit, The Chariot, The Judgement, The Magician, The Star and The Devil. I am currently working on finalizing the other major arcana.
