Who is Lucas Goubert

I was biologically born at Clinica Palermo, Bogota, in 1973. More importantly, my birth as an artist came in December 1995, when I made my first illustration in a sketch book that my friend Ultra Violeta had given me as a gift . The drawing was of a tree inspired by “Ultimo Arbol”, a poem by Gabriela Mistral.

In 1999 I left my native Bogota to come to Europe and develop my career in banking and finance. In Paris, during spring 2003, I was re-christened by my friend Justin. At the time (I was around 30), I was looking for an artist’s name to use in gay adult film castings. . Justin took my childhood dog’s name and my mother’s maiden name and baptised me Lucas Goubert. Although my adult film career never took off, I adopted this pseudonym and have used it in several situations since.

In December 2007 I found love when I met Cupix LevX. Since then, we share our dreams and our love.

In early 2024 I suffered a “burn-out”. One afternoon at my Place Vendome offi ce my brain just disconnected. I fell to the floor in the middle of the open space. My legs and my arms did not respond. I could barely speak. I sweated and my breath was irregular. It was time to end my banking career with the frenetic obsessions that came with it . I now dedicate all my energy to collage, painting and drawing . Currently I live in Paris and work out of Paris, Normandy and Bogota.
